This artwork is created on an authentic mizzen sail from Bloodhound, the 1936 Camper & Nicholsons yawl that became the sailing home of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh and the young Royal Family. More than a racing yacht, Bloodhound was where generations of the family learned the values of seamanship, teamwork and respect for the sea, while spending treasured summers around the
waters of Cowes.
 
The composition captures a quiet exchange between Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, with a ghosted portrait of the young Queen emerging behind them. It is a reflection on memory and devotion, allowing past and present to coexist within a single image.
