Created from His Majesty King Juan Carlos's beloved Bribón sail, the very 6 Metre mainsail with which he won the World Championship in Vancouver, proudly representing Spain on the international stage. The King, a lifelong sailor, named all of his boats Bribón, a reflection of his competitive spirit and enduring passion for the sea. The image incorporates a fleet of elegant 6 Metre sails, honouring both the King's personal triumph and the heritage of this historic class of yacht. At its heart stands the Royal Palace of Madrid, the largest royal palace in Europe and an iconic symbol of Spain's identity.
His Majesty wrote: "I am very happy to send you this sail in particular. I am very fond of her because with her I won my first 6 Metre World Championship in Vancouver, Canada, against many competitors from all over the world. I'm very proud that this sail will represent Spain in your forthcoming exhibition”.
